Chevron Hotel was purchased for $16.5 million in 2001. Hausman, discarded the previous approval for two high rise towers and demolition of the iconic Chevron hotel.
Hausman, decided to retain the historic building and do a refurbishment engaging Peddle Thorp architects and SJB architects for the interiors. Also recognising the St Kilda Road tree lined boulevard Hausman engaged well known landscape designer Rick Eckersley who created a wonderful garden retreat within Chevron Green.
